Mediation

In 2012, the United States District Court for the Western District of New York selected Jill Schultz to serve on the first panel of mediators for the Court’s mandatory mediation program.  As a Certified Federal Court mediator, and private mediator, Jill regularly mediates cases and disputes involving employment litigation and commercial litigation.

Mediation is a form of alternative dispute resolution (“ADR”).  For some cases and parties, mediation can enable the parties to resolve their dispute faster and more economically than traditional litigation.  Mediation is also confidential – – thus the parties are able to resolve their dispute in private.  In addition, mediation is flexible.  There is no judge or jury, and no rules of evidence.  The parties are able to fashion a resolution through mediation that best meets their needs.

Jill has extensive experience working with parties to resolve their matters quickly and effectively through mediation.
